At this price I'd say it's worth it, I got one the last time a similar design was posted on SD for like $10-$12. Definitely works, have to get creative with tucking in your outer shirt to keep the bottom of the shirt from blocking the intake side if you mount it on your belt. Also helps with ensuring the air is pushed upwards and keeps air moving and improving the evaporation cooling effect if you're working on a hot day and sweating a lot. No idea about brand or if this design is better.

Apparently construction workers in Japan take this concept a step further and wear light colored jackets with fans built in the bottom that push air into the jacket, with the exhaust air coming out of the sleeves and around the neck. Gives your arms sun protection and feels like a constant breeze.
