Yes, it is $15 so is a cheap backup. But the "functionality" appears there. PALS webbing to further customize with MOLLE attachments (which are dirt cheap on Amazon and AE). Sternum strap is always a plus, straps to cinch down the overall size if needed (personally I find them annoying because they delay access but do have their use). I also like the front mounted side access pocket which makes swinging the backup off a single shoulder (to your front) to access those contents. Now, I don't like the water bottle pockets (I'd rather PALS webbing directly on the bag as flappy pocket mounted is useless) but others likely would see those as a plus. Only other complaint is I'd prefer more interior organization but for $15 you really can't expect much more. And it's....tAcTiCaL.

*assuming you get model that didn't fail the QC process, some of the review photos show a very hit and miss QC but luckily Amazon returns are next to painless. Also some of these cheap backpacks have nonstandard PALS webbing which can be next to useless since MOLLE can't mate up...no idea if that is the case here.

Note that this is fairly shallow in depth at 6.3 inches. Standard volume calc puts it at ~25L (without adjustment for tapering at the top, which will make practical volume lower). In most cases this going to be classed as a "small" backpack for adults, with 30L - 40L a more standard range for a multi-purpose pack. Not a negative and may actually be an advantage if you are looking for a lighter kit or have a smaller frame, just FYI since the listing doesn't seem to list volume.

Threading is cheap and pockets etc rip very easily..I'd avoid.
