Toto Drakes can flush the most massive of shits compared to contractor special toilets from the box stores. The coating on the ceramic is also much easier to keep clean (if you don't destroy it with abrasives).

Can the cord be hidden better if I was to renovate our bathroom, or does it need to plug in as shown in Pic?
Yes. There are tons of ways it can be wired.
since it's bathroom and near water you do want it to be on GFCI circuit and able to disconnect for safety.

I don't see how this is different or adds something better than just putting a bidet on your existing toilet. Am I missing something?

Yeah the manual tells you not to use typical toilet cleaning chemicals at all. Just a brush.

I think the C5 is the older version of the seat that has a tank water heater vs the tankless heater in the newer seats.
C series is all heated tanks. You need to step up to the K series (K300) or S to get on demand unlimited heated water. Was able to snag a K300 for under $300 years ago to go with my Drake - best thing ever. Seem to all go over $450-500 now and I'd probably go with the C series today.

What would be the best way to add an outlet? From the vanity/light switch I suppose?
We are in the process of completely renovating two bathrooms and have two of these Toto's being installed. We did not have the power outlet and our contractor cut the drywall (lower portion near the floor which needed ripping up anyway) and ran a line from the light switch. The same will happen in the second bathroom. This method will be practical in most situation.

I have always wanted to get Toto Bidet toilets. Just ordered two units from Costco on February 13th when the price was $799.99 each. Now, just caught this SD post showing them on sale for $150 off. Thank you for the OP for heads up. Just submitted Costco online price adjustment for $300, which should come thru. It is the first time I used online price adjustment feature and it was so simple to put in that request. No wonder I love shopping at this stellar retailer.

What is Model T1SW2491#01 equivalent to? The SW3024#01 is the KC2. I have the SW3084#01 which is C5.

Wow that is one fugly seat cover. why does it have to be so huge ?
I like Toto but have to pass on this toilet + seat combination.

And it looks so uncomfortable

I currently have 4 Toto toilets and put one of those generic retrofit ultra-slim bidet attachment for one of the toto toilet seat cover and has worked flawlessly for the past 9 years using it everyday. The OEM standard Toto toilet seat covers are very comfortable and lasting a long time. Seems with this built in Toto bidet you get an elongated toilet but the seat cover is reduced in size and the opening to be shorter smaller seat due to plumbing into the the seat. Seem like yo uare paying for an elongated seat and getting a smaller seat opening which seems odd. Look carefully at the pictures.

That's one expensive crapper... Why not just get a Toto bidet to go on top of a cheaper toilet? The bidet is where the real technology is. Toilet is basically just "plop""flush" we're done.

Bought three of these to adultify my house last fall. (no bidet) That was $300 each. They are great, easy to install, and really are almost uncloggable.
