FHD+ (more vertical real estate than standard FHD) is ideal on a 16" screen. Even moreso than QHD, which truly benefits from a 24"+ screen. Being IPS is even better. Frankly this build is legit. A 5060 will have no problem powering AAA Games at high to ultra settings.

This is a great price for a competent gaming machine.

I bought a refurbished Acer Nitro from Acer on eBay a year and a half ago and it came in pristine condition. Also comes with a 2 year warranty and 30 day return with free shipping.

I really like my AMD 8840HS, 4070 and 32gb ram Acer Nitro, but just so you are aware, there's only 2 usb-C ports and they're both on the back of the laptop. Not a dealbreaker for me, but might be an inconvenience for some setups.

I just bought a legion 5 pro 7745hx 4060 16gb 1tb for 500 on Facebook, but part of me wants to sell it and try to buy a 5060 laptop I doubt it's worth the hassle tho.

these laptops have battery drain due to the charger not being hgh enough wattage so the battery will run out while charging and playing a game. you cannot play at max performance once battery hits 25%. known issue i bought one and returned recently for same price new but the 5050 version for 623

If your legion 5 pro works fine, then keep it. The legion has better build quality and thermal management than the Acer Nitro.

The 7745hx CPU should be fine for gaming. The Ryzen 7 350 would be an upgrade, but unless you are currently maxing out the CPU performance on the 7745 or do a lot of AI work locally on the laptop (Not as a service) then you would probably struggle to notice the difference.

The performance jump from 4060 to 5060 is real, but there wasn't really any new features released in the 5XXX GPU series from NVidia. You are probably better off putting the $300 difference into your next laptop once the 6XXX GPUs come out.
