These are a solid introduction to zero drop, wide toebox shoes.

They've got more cushion than true "barefoot" shoes, or Chuck Taylors. You'll worry less about stepping on sharp things. But they have much less cushion than regular athletic shoes, and they let your toes spread out naturally, so you're far more stable.

They look mostly normal, unlike a lot of "barefoot" shoes.
