I had issues with coating and AirTags by the last batch I didn't and I heard they changed there formula. Worst case take a little light sandpaper and scuff up both sides that worked for me.

Have used these with AirTags and didn't have an issue. Also, couldn't one just very lightly sand over both sides of the battery with sand paper to remove the coating if needed?
