The screenshots are important. The last two times I had to contact customer service to get the promo for this deal.

Amazon promotional credit is sketchy as hell. I lost out 2 times because I didn't document (screenshot) my purchases. So you better be on top of that if you don't want to miss out on these $30 bucks.

Well there is an order history that should suffice right
Well it didn't. I place anywhere between 400 - 800 orders on Amazon per year. Order history doesn't tell you or the Indian rep that there was a promotion. The hole system is automated and if automation doesn't kick and give you the money you have to have proof that there actually was a promotion at the time you bought it.

No, because order history page makes no mention of the credit earned on the order at a later time. You need to screenshot at the time you are checking out on the final payment page.

why do you think I'm telling people to screen shot the checkout page with the promise of earning the $30 credit??Confused
Had nothing to do with you but rather how I didn't get the promo credit twice in the past. By not having the screen shot. The one time when I had it they fixed it for me and about 2 more times I had to do nothing because it was automatically given. What Amazon is doing there is a pretty flawed system and most likely run by AI.

I screenshot the product page that showed the items that had the promo. They will take 7 cases of food back if they do not honor lol

I hope the screenshot on the product page will be good enough or they will take them back 31 days after delivery Wink

Chewy has a similar deal, and I've never had to chase down a credit from Chewy. Chewy gives a $30 giftcard upon shipment.

The issue for some at Chewy, you need $49 or more for free ship. So you have to spend oop at least $19 + tax to use it on your next order unless you have multiple $30 cards.

Many with Amazon Prime can spend the $30 in any increment they like and get free ship on a $3 bag of cat treats.

Chewy is good, deal is good but there are some differences that may make the Amazon choice an easier solution. Just a case of what you're shopping for and what your needs are.

Most do not have a problem but it happens here and there so protecting yourself is wise.

You can contact them if it doesn't show up (not sure if it is 30 days from order or 30 days from shipment) and they'll credit you if you have the screenshot showing what you ordered and earned (credit wise).

I recently had an issue on another type of promo (not pet food deal) and they credited me $25 to my gift card balance which was even better than the credit since it has no expiration to use it.

I wish I was able to test these before buying. The strays I feed are actually spoiled and picky, haha.
That's how you can be 100% sure they are cats, and not large rats! Big Grin

oh no question it is flawed. The other thing you have to be very careful of, and it's easy to make a goof.

Not ALL cat/dog foods-treats are part of the offer. Each and every item in your cart has to have the spend $100, earn $30 credit notation on the item.

So lets say you order a bag of Friskies Seafood Dry Cat food that's on the promo, and then on the same page you click on the chicken flavor and add that to your cart. The chicken may not have the earn $30 promo on it. You really have to be very meticulous what you order and verify each and every item has the promo attached to it. So if $92 in your cart does and you've added an $8 item that does not, no credit is earned when you think you are getting it in 30 days. That's why verifying the credit has been earned is a good idea and screenshot the page as well is well worth your time. Saves a lot of headaches.

Not to mention, if you are NOT seeing the $30 credit statement on the c/o page you know something is off on what you've added to your cart to total $100. Not saying that was your situation, just talking in general terms how easy it is to get aced out the $30, either due to Amazon's goof or your own mistake.
