Yes and no. Its a very wild take on the Pac-Man franchise. The Metroidvania aspects (exploration, ability unlocks, secrets, collectibles, boss fights, etc.) are all really solid. The story is a bit convoluted and tied to a plethora of other games you've possibly never heard of. The problem is, all the actual Pac-Man levels are frustratingly annoying, even if you were a fan of the more recent Pac-Man games. I would say if you enjoy the genre, its totally worth the $16 price tag, but if you do not enjoy Pac-Man in its various iterations, you're going to get fairly impatient with this, especially in the late game areas.

Great take, my feelings exactly, it's pretty weird and wild but sorta cool if you like pac man

I swear, Bandai Namco must toss darts at a board to come up with some of their game names.

They couldn't afford the dartboard. They spent their entire budget on marketing. It's obvious they didn't put a cent into the game because it handles like trash. I will forever be bottom befuddled that they took such an awesome concept and churned out this garbage with it. The storyline threatens to be just interesting enough to push you past the two hour limit so you can't refund from Steam.

The worst, most unresponsive controls I've ever seen in a Metroidvania. And I have played every major metroidvania since the original Metroid. I own most of them. Imagine having a few frames to dodge an attack, but it takes a few frames for your controller to respond. Kind of like that.

I guess in this case you can return to Amazon in 30 days. SD must be getting the rest of Bandai's marketing budget because this trash shows up every other day.
