Yes and no. Its a very wild take on the Pac-Man franchise. The Metroidvania aspects (exploration, ability unlocks, secrets, collectibles, boss fights, etc.) are all really solid. The story is a bit convoluted and tied to a plethora of other games you've possibly never heard of. The problem is, all the actual Pac-Man levels are frustratingly annoying, even if you were a fan of the more recent Pac-Man games. I would say if you enjoy the genre, its totally worth the $16 price tag, but if you do not enjoy Pac-Man in its various iterations, you're going to get fairly impatient with this, especially in the late game areas.
