Had bought one from Costco. The battery started giving the red blinking light issue in a little over a year. Had to buy a new battery because of this. I don't trust this brand for this specific reason. I have tools from practically all other brands including refurbished 40v ryobi and I haven't had this problem elsewhere.

What blinking red light issue? Is not the battery just getting drained? Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I'm just getting into these things

Eh, batteries do fail.
Did you contact them? They have a 3 year warranty.
I have 2 of their batteries (a 2Ah and a 4Ah), very old (6+ years), still going strong - used them in the snow blower the other day.
