During COVID, Penn balls declined precipitously in quality.
They have not improved.
They now last less than 2 sets at recreational level.

Quantity over quality works for me. I just need cheap balls to fill a hopper to get my kid starting to hit balls. Thanks OP!

AS far as "feeding hopper" balls, I agree these are a good price.
Unfortunately, when players reach 3.0 USTA level, the dead balls bother them, even in drills.
My experience is that a ball with a little more or denser rubber in the core, like a pro penn marathon
or Diadem extra duty (pretty inexpensive) is the best value because they, while costing
twice as much, last 3 to 5 times longer, especially in a hopper.

Yes, regular duty felt balls are also used primarily for clay because they are lighter and the fuzz is a little different, but did you know that up till about 5/10 years ago the WTA used them for hard courts as well?

Reach 3.0? LOL It's almost hard to play much lower than that.

Good for just bouncing off of walls I guess. Better than nothing, but I'm not a serious tennis player.

They don't last longer than 2-3 full sets, would not be recommended for daily and serious players

Do not buy this ball.
The bounce of this ball is very different from true tennis balls.

Only buy if you don't know tennis and don't intend to play tennis.
