First time I've seen these on any kind of sale but TBH $20/AH is pretty steep even for powersnacks. But having bought the 5.0s with charger at 50 when they were on clearance my viewpoint is somewhat skewed.

Yeah, I think in the next 6 months to a year once they start to put these in combo kits the prices will come down. I can see them going for $100-120 for a pair.

Price are creeping up. I'm not sure if that $10/ah price target will be the deal rule much longer.

Otherwise this is the best price to date.

I've been waiting some of these to mess around with for a few months, they seem like a nice size to capacity compromise. Not sure if they'll replace the 1.7aH Powerstacks as my daily driver, but they should be nice for saws and drills.

I don't feel like the 5ah PS are really that great with a low power-to-size ratio; the 1.7ah PS power-to-size ratio are pretty awesome and I use them often.
That 5.0PS has gone on ridiculous sale a few times and really skews it, but I think the 1.7PS is a good deal around $40.

Although I haven't personally seen any reviews/testing on the 3.5PS yet, I feel at double the capacity [and size] this is NOT QUITE the price that I'm willing to pay to try it, but getting close. I'd maybe $120 for a pair or $70 each... At some of the smaller sizes or specific types it's hard to compare & justify the $10/ah gold standard (that seems to be slipping anyways).

yeah i can't seem to find a good deal on batteries (just got my first Dewalt tool; been all Ridgid & Milwaukee) at the Marketplace...even for a 2.0Ah lol. I used to sell my extra M12 batteries for that $10/Ah

Ditto, I have 2 of each 1.7 and 5.0 and the 5.0's when I got them, despite being crazy cheap, I was like "oh this isn't really much smaller than a 5.0 regular", granted it still has more cahones but the 1.7s are usually sufficient, I think these 3.5s may ultimately be a happy medium if the prices come down.

Yeah, i really want a set just because... but i have (2) 1.7, (1) 4ah and (2) 5ah lol... Just cant justify it at this price yet.

I have 4 of these already and just ordered this deal from home depot for 2 more. The 3.5 powerstacks are my favorite compact battery. The 1.7 drive me nuts cuz they are always dying. The 5ah is kinda big. The 3.5 is perfect in my opinion. From a value standpoint yea they been stingy and still not cheap even at this price. I am using these tools professionally tho. For home use yea the 1.7 make sense. Even the 4ah powerpack is still a little big but not that bad. Too long for some tools. Favorite batteries for my use depending on which tool im using is 3.5 powerstack, 8ah powerpack, 9ah flexvolt, and 15ah flexvolt. Would love to see tabless or pouch cells come to flexvolt which im guessing they are.

These are the battery sweetspot for Dewalt but finding them at reasonable prices is hard. The 4 Ah Powerpack is significantly bigger in size than this for only a minor increase in run time. Additionally, these 3.5 Ah, unlike the 5 Ah powerstack can work with other tools using an adapter. These should be like $50-$70 each though but the only place you can find them at that price is on eBay where you are taking risks with counterfeiters.
