Electric kettles are underrated. So much more useful than stovetop.

This is not a hot deal, its been this price for months. Pay a few dollars more for a higher capacity. I had been looking for a replacement for a while and got a 1.8L for under $20

I purchased this back in December. I was sent a used one that had water in it. Return to Amazon and was sent another that was also used. Had water in the caraft and mold in the seal for the lid. Sent it back asked for refund to my credit card. Hope those who order have better luck than I did.

Why so?
They heat up significantly faster.
Boil on my stovetop? 8 minutes. Boil in my kettle? 1 minute.

Interesting! Does yours really boil in 1 minute?

I use my borosilicate pot on the stove because i haven't really had any problems with it and I imagine it saves a bit of money over using electric variety.

I also want to find one thats all glass that comes into contact with the water. Which do you use ? Do you recommend it?

I have owned several "mid tier" kettles like this. They work great, but the auto shutoff always fails on these things. Not a big deal if you are watching it, but I have come back to some almost boiled off water by accident. Great buy if you are a tea drinker!

Bought this a couple of years ago, it's held up nicely from daily use. Takes about 5 minutes or so to reach boing and has a nice auto-shut off. My only complaint is that it's gets quite loud, like drowning out conversation waking up the whole house loud.

Been using a similar glass electric kettle by this brand for 2 years daily for pour over coffee. Auto shut off hasn't failed and I've accidently ran it dry a few times when I forgot to fill it with water.
