This can be used for many things but keep in mind that it's only a battery. Can be used for solar, house emergency backup, off grid houses or to offset power company peak pricing. You'll need more than this for it to be useful though because as mentioned above, it's just a big freaking battery on wheels. You can't just cram a solar panel into it as you'll need a charge controller to control the voltage and make sure you don't over charge it. You'll also need an inverter to take the 48V DC power and turn it into 120/240V AC power along with cabling. There are many All in One inverter units that handle the above solar/inverter functions.
