Agreed! The ratings on these feel a bit low. Megamind and Last Wish are fantastic. Monsters vs Aliens is a great kids movie and has all the complex writing of a book for that age. Think of it as a CGI Muppet Show because there's a few adult audience jokes tossed in.

Penguins is only not a great movie because of the same reason the Minion movie isn't - most of the time the background joke characters of a movie don't make a good movie. It is full of absolutely horrible puns though, so it's a fun lowbrow movie.

Others are just kinda there but I've never heard of the Ruby one.

Road to El Dorado is on here. One of my favorite animated movies of all time but definitely not kid friendly in my opinion. On-screen drinking, smoking, and gambling. Also, suggestive themes of sex and violence, all against the back drop of Spanish colonization. Again, genuinely funny and entertaining movie but not something I'd want my kids watching.
