I used one of these for a few years and it worked fine, but when came time for a battery replacement was out of luck. Its an odd size slightly smaller than normal and replacement would have been as much as the new one here.

yeah some of these models of UPS is either impossible to find a replacement battery or they're absurdly expensive to the point where the UPS is basically e-waste/disposable when the battery goes. I've seen this with some lower end APC models also, so it's not just Cyberpower.I highly recommend researching battery replacements before purchasing any UPS you intend to keep for years.

I used to love this company but with my latest failure, they're asking me to send my whole unit back to them at my expense (mine is the 900va one). Shipping was around $45, I decided it was just more economical to buy one of those power station with pass thru and they have been working fine and provides longer up time.

For $9.99, it comes with a 3-year extended warranty. If it lasts that long, plus whatever the OEM warranty covers, simply dispose of it and get a new one.
