Have you read the Dark Tower series yet? Highly recommended if you can afford the time commitment.
I did! It was a bit of a slog in parts and took the better part of a decade...but I got through all 7 parts. I almost feel like King retconned some of the latter books in the Dark Tower series to better fit with the realms discussed in the Talisman/Black House series. Just my .02 cents.

I've always considered The Talisman to be a precursor to The Dark Tower. It feels to me to be set in the same world.

I'm excited for him...reading it with fresh eyes and learning the story for the first time! It's my 3rd favorite of King's books (with #1 being 'Salems Lot and #2 being The Stand)
Thanks - hope he enjoys it!
