One could also argue that OBAA is clearly a right-wing propaganda film that paints liberals as violent, radical, bumbling, stoner, ANTIFA terrorists. The fact that the film also dares to satirize hard right authoritarianism and the christrian nationalist movement is extremely low hanging fruit that makes it an easy target in some circles.

Ironically, the strong audience reactions prove that this film succeeds as art and is worthy of its accolades. The acting is outstanding the ensemble cast is phenomenal, the filmmaking is top tier- OBAA is absolute cinema.

Sinners and weapons were both good... One battle after the other was one I didn't really enjoy... it was very politically charged and very clearly a left wing movie. This movie is the left's version of Red Dawn.... is if you dislike the current white house resident, you'll love this movie. If you're on the fence, independent or especially if you're right wing, you'll ask yourself why you bothered watching.
I haven't seen any of these films yet so I don't know for myself, but the conservative talkers that I've heard have said "Sinners" is an openly anti-white racist POS, so how is it OBAA is the one you finger as being "politically charged"? I would watch all three of them no matter their political bent, just curious.

So sign up for a promo month of HBO. Digital is not worth buying at this price.
Are they even doing "promo months"? My daughter wanted to binge-watch a series and the only option was to pay for a full month. And even if there was a promo I doubt they would offer 4k/Atmos, a single month of that service at regular price is more ($23) than this bundle of 4k movies. The "basic" $11 plan and the "regular" $18.50 HBO plans are HD-only.

Sinners and weapons were both good. Sinners felt like a version of from dusk till dawn but without the comedy or Cheech's epic sales pitch. One battle after the other was one I didn't really enjoy. It was too long, bouncing around from very quick pace to very slow. The actors were all good but I really feel like this movie received awards and big support because it was very politically charged and very clearly a left wing movie. This movie is the left's version of Red Dawn. And by that I mean it's their fantasy/day dream movie. Best way for me to put this is if you dislike the current white house resident, you'll love this movie. I watched one battle after another on the plane yesterday. I believe your assessment to be correct, and wondered why I bothered watching it. Thumbs up for your honest review.

Thank you for the heads up, I'll avoid it.

The ones that are "politically" charged are the boring ones. Just watch Weapons.

Weapons was pretty decent. The ending was hilarious but the whole movie in general I think was suppose to be a serious horror movie.

Sinners was lame. Reminded me of Twilight but with more blood/violence and no werewolves. Maybe if you're into musicals you might like it? Lol there was singing in there if you're into that.

The Battle movie was lame too. It was about an old dude that was a creep and liked to get dominated by a black girl. Lol no idea what was going on in that movie, it was a giant mess.

There's my awesome super in-depth analysis review that's based off science, religion, and politics. /s

Nonsense. This movie was nothing more than leftist anarchist propaganda. Sean Penns character was one of the most ridiculous thigs I've ever seen in a movie. The only thing he was missing was a MAGA shirt to further push the political agenda behind this overrated trash. I didn't even vote for Trump, but this director sent a clear message IMO.

Agreed. OBAA is a great movie that is uncomfortable to watch given that it's supposed to be a parody of what's currently going on in America. Sinners is great but suffers from a weak ending with some stupid vampires. Weapons likewise has a somewhat corny ending but is a decent watch.
Not a parody. It was produced in 2024.

...and another strong reaction that further underlines that this is a powerful film. Mediocre art usually doesn't compel folks to log on and comment, regardless of who you voted for.

Sean Penn's work will probably earn him the Oscar, but Benicio Del Toro was also fantastic. It will be interesting to see how many awards it will win.

People would make negative comments about a 2 hour movie of someone taking a dump in a phone booth. That doesn't make it powerful art....lmao. Get over yourself. Your logic is flawed beyond belief. Hollywood has become woke garbage. That's the only reason this movie is getting attention.
