Yep, they can pull the rug at any time. Studios are intentionally putting out bad blu-ray and 4k disks full of errors the last half dozen years. They really do everything they can to make you pay like it's a one time viewing experience. You can do the download thing, but you are limited on hard drive and ssd space because they appear to be artificially inflated in price. And you need redundancy, a second and third copy because your hardware will fail eventually.

"Crap like this"? "This order is for a license which may be limited in scope and duration" is literally listed on every movie on this link. This is common practice for all digital media these days. IMO, it foreshadows future options the company wants for itself to try to gouge the consumer for future money (or protect itself in bankruptcy). It is what it is, but I don't like all the PIA restrictions, encumberments, and lack of protection for the consumer that come with digital media. "Fair use" is being constantly redefined by corporate media conglomerates with politicians and watchdogs on their payroll.

Appreciate the kudos.

The companies themselves do go under or are bought out but the libraries are income generators so they'll just get passed on from studio to studio. So you're right on that point. For instance, Miramax bought most of the Samuel Goldwyn library and Paramount bought Miramax.

I'm more concerned about what Paramount is going to do with the WB library since on some platforms I can access bonus content for a movie and some I can't. If they remove MA ability, that'd be some bs.
