Standard price at all other retailers. Amazon over charged when this released for pre orders and is now back tracking and trying to make it look like they are giving you a good "sale" price.

When did Over the Garden Wall become available on Blu-Ray!? I had been wanting this in high definition for years! Thanks for posting!
Edit: Oh it's a pre-order! This news flew by me. That's good to see it being released in physical format besides DVD!

It came out on Blu-ray a some years back. There was a release in the UK and a very nice release in Australia. All of what you see under $40 on eBay is a BDR l pirate version of the Australian release that is long out of print.

This official release is being put out to celebrate the original broadcast anniversary of the series. I doubt it will come around again.

Serious question: Is the Blu-ray upgrade worth it for a cartoon?

Awesome. I had such an annoying time tracking down the DVD version and finally found it in the rewards of my credit card benefits, of all places. Will be double dipping if the Blu-ray version offers better quality.

The Bluray version was already available in... Australia, I think? I have it digitally and the difference is pretty big. Even my partner at the time noticed the difference right away.

In my opinion, it is worth it for modern cartoon if you have a decent tv. They look more defined and colorful.

It's pretty funny (and predictable) how any TV series that gets discussed here is claimed "the best ever". 😂

It should be an upgrade over the DVD version. The DVD version has a grainy and washed out picture quality. Just terrible compared to the original 1080p broadcast and streaming versions.
