Community Reviews

The iPhone 17e looks like a budget iPhone with solid core specs, including the A19 chip, 256GB storage, MagSafe, and a screen that is still considered good. It is also described as close to the regular iPhone 17 and comparable to the iPhone 15 or 16, while the Spectrum bundle can make the overall internet and phone package unusually cheap. The main drawbacks are the 60Hz display, no UWB for AirTags or compatible car and lock features, and a camera that trails flagship models. Checkout problems also keep showing the phone at $599 instead of the advertised $199, so the deal depends on the plan details working correctly.

are these e-versions actually worth $200 in this case?
Depends on your perspective. I would be perfectly happy using a 13 mini, Galaxy S23, or Pixel 7a, but Spectrum keeps giving me the latest Galaxy S at a steal.
The 17e is arguably better than the iPhone 15 and pretty comparable to the 16. Anyone saying the 17e is garbage is setting the bar way above what it's meant to be, which is a less premium option. I think added Magsafe, 256GB and a19 chip over the 16e are pretty nice upgrades for the same starting price.

When I add iphone 17e to cart, it say $599. No sign of $199 after adding to cart.

After adding to cart price goes up to $599 instead of showing as $199. Anyone else had the same issue?

Yeah honestly you do not lost very much compared to the 17. Same processor, 8 GBs of ram vs 12 I think? Slightly worse but still good screen. MAIN difference is the camera is worse than a flagship, your call on if that is worth 600 more dollars.
And no UWB. So no precision finding for AirTags and Find My Friends, or hands free unlock of DCK/Aliro enabled cars/locks.

Did you add 1 line or 2? I think you must add 2 lines to qualify for 400 off.

Not for me, this 17e refresh rate is only 60Hz, but most of popular phones nowadays are supporting 120Hz. Unless you really like iOS and want a budget phone, then just go for it.

About 20 million iPhone 15 buyers and 20 million iPhone 16 buyers were ok with 60Hz, but as an Android user, I agree.

In 2021 the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max were already supporting 120Hz refresh rate, which is already 5 years ago. It feels less smooth if you stuck with 60Hz phone unless you are really tight on budget.

Total Wireless for $300 but you have to stay on their $60/month plan for a year to get the $300 off.

Yeah. There used to be better deals from the Tracfone brands but Verizon just changed the terms to require 12 months of paid service to unlock the phones.
