The problem with my area is that a single provider is running a monopoly so I have no other choices.
That's been the case most places for years and years, but the monopolies are finally breaking down and prices are dropping!

Unfortunately I have been monitoring but found no options yet. So I'm thinking of switching to starlink, at least for a few months. If it doesn't work, hopefully the current provider can offer a new customer deal then.

Not sure why so many down votes. My home wifi is $90+ monthly for 300 mbps. Should I get the 200 mbps starlink for $69 a month?
I switched to the 200Mb plan and I still frequently get ~300-350Mb speeds 🙃 YMMV though depending on your region congestion and your sky obstruction level. I'm pretty low congestion with absolutely no obstruction. If you game online, particularly FPS/fast action/driving games, be prepared to deal with some packet loss/rubber banding. General use and media streaming is fine though.
