I personally prefer and use, because of high concentration, royal purple max. It's only in an 7-8 oz bottle and is/was 8.88 at Walmart. There's only one other brand with higher PEA but it's more expensive so no point, if you're that concerned run two of them in two separate full tanks
Redline, if anyone was interested.
This Liqui Moly 2007 Jectron Gasoline Fuel Injection Cleaner does not have PEA.
The "best" choice depends on your specific goal:
For Maximum Cleaning Power: Red Line SI-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner is widely regarded by mechanics as the benchmark. It contains the highest concentration of PEA (up to 50% in some Safety Data Sheets) and is powerful enough to clean direct-injection (GDI) deposits that other cleaners miss.
For Modern Engines (GDI/Turbo): AMSOIL P.I. Performance Improver is a top-tier alternative that aggressively targets stubborn deposits and is specifically formulated to be safe and effective in modern, high-pressure fuel systems.
For Routine Maintenance: Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus is the most widely available and is frequently recommended by car manufacturers (like BMW and GM) for preventative care.
For High-Mileage on a Budget: Gumout Regane High Mileage offers a solid dose of PEA at a lower price point and includes extra lubricants for older engine components.
Other Notable PEA Cleaners
Royal Purple Max-Clean: A high-performance synthetic cleaner that claims to improve fuel economy by up to 3.2% and significantly reduce emissions.
Liqui Moly DIJectron: Specifically engineered for Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines, using PEA to specifically combat carbon buildup on injectors located inside the combustion chamber.
