The laws of physics will be the laws of physics: if you want big sound, dinky little "lifestyle" speakers ain't gonna cut it. 🤣

I mean it in the way in which I already chose my front channels last year after not being able to get these on sale.

Ah, I see...out of curiosity, what did you buy for FL/FR?

As a fan of the JBL Studio 530s for years, sad to see this line die. These are great speakers, RIP Studio line.

Yeah, all afternoon. Odd pricing things, can't see pricing until adding to cart, and lots of errors when trying to process a return.

Not here. Their checkout process is almost always perfectly smooth, unless you're using multiple coupons and discount codes. In this case, there are none because it's just a straight up clearance price made by a third party seller through Amazon.

Yes it is...for HT and dynamic music, these easily beat out a lot of tower speakers retailing up to $3-4K/pr. (just don't tell any actual owners of said speakers, because we know what hilariously thin skin and fragile little egos many "audiophiles" have. 😆

The next step up imo would be the PSA MTM-210T or MTM-212T.

How do these Towers compare to say a SVS Prime Pinnacle?

The Primes will have a little bit more bass if you don't use a sub, but they will also have sharp peaks in the upper mids and treble. The JBL will be more tonally balanced with a slight treble roll off. And according to SVS specs, it's 2db lower sensitivity.

The SVS Ultra uses a less irritating/strident tweeter than the Prime series, but the price-gouging is even worse. 🤣

If you bite, just make sure you keep the boxes and verify the return policy.

Have a major fan friend that had the 5(590) series then upgraded to 6(690) series 9 channel setup.

He proudly let several other people listen and they did not fall for the marketing hype.
If I recall, everyone that has listened decided to continue looking/weren't to impressed to buy.

Our other friends find it hilarious that he and two others making these claims, upgraded to "better" speakers and they weren't $3k-$4k priced speakers!
These definitely don't fall in that category!!

Can't blame JBL, if it works, milk it!

How would these compare to Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F II?
