From what I can tell, it's getting generally good feedback/reviews. Every game doesn't have to be for everyone. I personally wasn't a fan of the test version on PS5, but many are enjoying it so 17% off a game that came out today imo is a good price.
Right now on Steam it has a "Very Positive" with 1408 reviews.
Halo 1,2,3 are some of my favorite games of all time. Downloaded the open beta really wanted to like this since I'm into extraction shooters and it's Bungie. It's absolute hot trash, UI is terrible, menus within menus within menus, no clear objective or goal, 25 min match is way too short, no clear tutorial, loot is not easy to identify it's use or purpose, AI is way too strong, AI and players are barely distinguishable. Playing games should be enjoyable, this was not. Go play Hunt Showdown, the best extraction shooter in my opinion.

Agree with this but I'm not into extraction shooters anyways
Bought the game on steam yesterday and played for about an hour and a half. I don't play extract shooters personally but wanted this because of the reputation of Halo and Destiny. First impressions was that there was no clear tutorial, the menus are an absolute maze and there is no clear objective in the matches. The matches were short but it wasn't clear what I was collecting, enemies were random and then you would come up against other players randomly. I was still within the window for a refund and got my money back. Not my game type but also the lack of polish for $40 was disappointing.

Played the server slam and bought the game. Yes the UI requires some effort to navigate initially. No hand holding in the tutorial. The gameplay is fun and tense. You can play as a solo player or in a squad of 3. Running out in the open and making a bunch of noise attracts attention and gets you killed. Play methodically and it is a thrilling experience to down other runners and extract with loot.
