I have this jacket in men's.
It's one of the best pieces of winter gear I own. It's basically armor against winter. Cold, wind, snow, rain this jacket keeps it all out. Only the tip of my nose gets cold with goggles and a helmet .
If you'll be in the snow for the next 5 years, then this jacket is an excellent investment at $30/year.
The pockets and features are really well thought out. Powder skirt with draw cords and snap loops to connect to your pants and keep the snow out.
Durability wise I've had mine for 10 years and the only thing that's broken was 1 zipper pull. Not even the zipper, but the short string that attaches to the zipper and makes it easier to pull with gloves on.
Patagonia gear is also backed by a lifetime warranty. If anything goes wrong just bring it into a Patagonia store and they will send it in to be fixed or give you credit.
