for comparison on die grinders: i got the dewalt 120v var speed die grinder and it was nice as it had digital settings from 9k rpm up to 25k. that's good for some attachments were safety dictates you need to keep below a certain speed. the dewalt 20v is also good, has 10k 15k and 25k settings. what is really nice about the new 20v is the paddle switch gives you another layer of speed control and you can go super slow if you barely press the paddle. the 120v does not have this. this milwaukee version has 8k up to 20k, lower lowest speed which is handy, but i don't see if the paddle gives you another way to slow it down.

the paddle switch speed control is very handy and helpful especially if you have used air tools which give you a beautiful direct control over speed. the 20v dewalt version was on sale and i've seen it a few times in the $130 range, as has the angle grinder, so i'm not sure that overall this is that great of a deal
