Objectively the best Food Network chef ever, hands down. This is not debatable. Learned more about cooking from this dude than anyone on the planet.

If you're a fan and you're not aware, he just relaunched his original series on Youtube. It's not Good Eats, but it's very much like Good Eats. Just saltier, kinda perfect. "Alton Brown Cooks Food"

I love how the product description has a quote that just says "good book".

Iagree and High Five for mention of his YT show!

I think I like his YT show a little more than Good Eats. It is very much like Good Eats and I dare say it's better (my only issue with the original is that it ended). Thanks for the reminder that I need to catch up as I've only watched the first few episodes.

This is accurate. Are you a somewhat nerdy person aged 40-55? There's like a 50% chance that Alton is why you're a decent cook.

His YouTube is Old Guy Alton. Alton, but with a few more drinks. I already own this cookbook and the sequel but I'd recommend it.

Excellent books. I have both this book and his 2nd book in hardcover and go back to the regularly. Insights and non-standard tips are very helpful (aka using a blender to make crepe batter)

Hey, I resemble these remarks! 😁

Nice to see fellow fans and kindred spirits. I'll have to check out the new series. Speaking of salty and a few more drinks, he used to stream the meals (and drinks) that he and his SO were having during the pandemic. That was so awesome.

On the "kindred spirits", the first few episodes of this had him drinking quite a bit, and I was hoping that was going to just be the staple, but he hasn't the last two episodes.

Not OP but "I'm just here for more food" is a baking cookbook. I would not call it a sequel. It's also a great book though, worth it just for the Luftwaffle recipe.

So OPS is for cooking and the one you responded for is baking?

Yup! Gotta keep the watches, likes, and subscribes flowing to him so he keeps producing!
