These tools aren't brushless. If you need further support, then feel free to ask another question.

No question- just a statement. They do have a lifetime warranty.

This looks like a nice starter set for new homeowner or DIYer.

Brushless value is very low. In a nutshell they will break fast, light use only.

I second this. With brushless, you're supposed to get more power, longer battery life, and the drill/driver on the subcompacts are much smaller and lighter weight. I'd say this is a pretty good budget set for diy projects around the house, if you don't have these tools yet or want to upgrade from Ryobi or something.

Yes, it was the first thing I checked because apparently it is a big difference. I didn't know they still made brushed tools but I always check.

Ridgid warranty has been good to me the one time I used it, but you need to remember to register it or you do not get lifetime. The lifetime is not a warranty per se based on some technicality. So just register everything.

Ridgids warranty is why I went with them. I'm not sure on the economics of it, but it says they clearly believe in their products.

If you're just starting out and need a variety of tools this is a great value to let you figure out what your needs may actually be. You very well might find out you simply dont need battery tools for something and prefer the high power corded versions so you don't fuss with batteries running out.

Same for me - love their lifetime warranty even on their batteries.

I think that you're overstating the risk of failure.

I've been using Lithium Ion power tools for 20 years now for all kinds of home projects and none of them have ever broken. I've had two batteries fail due to a bad Ryobi charger. That's it. My Bosch drill and batteries are still going strong nearly 20 years later, as are a Craftsman cordless electric mower, like a dozen Ryobi tools and random other stuff.
