Rayovac batteries as shown in this thread are not on Staples' website, but do qualify for the deal!
See attached picture.

Examples:
16 Pack AAA for $19.99
4 Pack C for $12.99
4 Pack D for $12.99
Several other options at the store. YMMV on exact pricing and availability.

Notes:
Must activate the offer first in your account. Login and go to offers page to activate it:
https://www.staples.com/grs/rewar...sSectionID

Staples rounds down the rewards points you will receive to the highest full dollar spent out-of-pocket, before taxes, price matching, discounts and any Rewards points applied.
SO DO NOT apply Rewards Points as they do not roll.

Staples will price match in-store only. See their policy for more information:
https://www.staples.com/stores/pr...tee-policy

Example: If the sale price is $39.99, you'll get $39 worth back in points.

In the proud new tradition for this deal (which includes ALL BATTERIES), apparently, every brand is entitled to its own thread, as well as the actual deal of all batteries in one thread title. So no need to worry. More posts coming with every possible brand of battery. I checked first and have been advised it's all good. EEK! vomit

So, either spend 39.98 to get 32 AAA batteries and $39 in rewards,
or pricematch to Amazon and spend 35.96 to get 64 AAA batteries and only $35 in rewards?
Tough choice, lol.

100% Correct! I stated so in the OP.

There are threads allowed for each brand as well. Read the last paragraph in the OP. This is an additional brand not posted about and this one is not even online on their site, so many may not know they could get C or D cells, etc, instead of just the run-of-the-mill AA and AAAs.
I think we are up to about 5 threads now. EEK!

This started with 1 separate thread for Duracell, then one for Energizer, then a thread for all batteries, then 2 more brands I spotted.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That is the whole story.

Warning: price matching might mess up the rewards.

It does not mess anything up. It reduces the amount of:
  • Out-of-pocket spending, and therefore...
  • Sales tax paid, and finally...
  • Rewards earned accordingly. You still get 100% back in rewards points on the price you paid, less tax (rounded down to the nearest full dollar spent.
And if you think about it, Less rewards awarded means less you have to reinvest there later. So it is not a bad thing at all.

Confirmed. Just bough mine today and price matches Amazon. $32 for $19. The rewards are already in for $37. On top of that, policy is that they only price match one item per day but the cashier matched both a pack of AA and AAA.
