This will blow away Bose out of water. These are very solid loud compare to Bose. Specially if you are planning to use it for party or outdoors.

Yes, I bought the flip 5 and returned it for the 7 during BF. It's not even close.

Bose is a marketing company that pretends to be an audio company. It uses the timeless, diabolically effective strategy of deliberately inflating prices to offset a huge mass marketing budget on products with compact and eye pleasing form factor. The price inflation feeds on the Veblen Product effect while the marketing feeds the WAF-ridden consumer's wishful thinking fantasy of getting big sound out of tiny speakers. The only Bose products that do offer better performance than others were their active noise cancelling headphones during the first 5-10 years when they first came out, but even there, the rest of the industry has more than caught up. Now they're just living off their name brand recognition and distribution network to maintain market share.

The fear I have with jbl deals on Woot is that I have read stories of people getting counterfeit jbl on Woot.

Meh, I've heard similar stories even about Amazon. Wouldn't lose any sleep over it... nothing is impossible, nothing is guaranteed.

Well for sure there are issues with Amazon with some items for counterfeit. It's a known thing that their stock gets mixed with 3rd party stock. I have personally bought a fake SanDisk SD card from Amazon. Cheap batteries are almost always fake. So I can really see the JBL being fake since Woot is basically selling Amazon stock.
