non stick coating kills it for me. Thanks for sharing
If it matters to you, it's actually ceramic. It's strange that they don't advertise that but other people have confirmed with the company that it is.
I really like this but there's an important thing you have to know: the slow cook function is essentially useless. However, if you set it to braise instead, it reaches the perfect slow cooking temp. There's really no downside, you just have to know that.

Any literature to confirm the statement on the slow cooker function? I'd like to read up on it myself.
I bought this from costco and it's awesome. Use it multiple times a week. It replaced my old ceramic crock pot. Can do as good a job or better at slow cooking as it, although the hot setting is a bit hotter than my dedicated crockpot and the low setting is lower than the low of the old one too. Also it doesn't bake very well, things tend to burn because they're laying right on the heating element basically. Other than that it's really versatile and awesome

Here's some literature: that person is talking bullshit. I use the slow cooker function more than any other. Used it last night as a matter of fact. The high setting is hot enough to sear meat, bloom spices etc, then you just add everything else and flip it to low if you want a true, very slow cook. That's the only gripe I have, the low setting is lower than an old fashioned crock pot's low setting by a noticeable amount. So I tend to use it only with very delicate, easy to overcook meats like chicken breast and pork tenderloin. Works great for that

Weird that you say I'm talking bullshit and then go on to explain exactly why the slow cooking function doesn't work properly.
The "low" setting is so far below the needed temp that your method might work but it would need a bit of monitoring, which for most people defeats the point.
I have this product and have used all the functions, and my experience reflects many other people's.
