6x 2.5" SSDs
2x 3.5" HDDs

I was bummed that I could only fit 2 140mm fans on the front and top, and only 120mm fans on the rear and sides on the 5000D but this one seems to solve that issue

to me it was worth it for the great deal and ability to upgrade to a 420 rad, specifically the thicker Arctic ones.
I'm looking at doing future proofing while there's good deals to be had, cause no one can afford to build computers with the dumb GPU, memory and SSD prices. so if I can get a steal on a case like this, maybe later a good 1000w PS, that I can use now, but eventually work for future upgrade, then that's the goal.
the 5000d has been a great case for me, but this one definitly has all the needed improvements, like the support for more 420 AIOs and 140mm fans
i just got this for the $112 deal on AMZ, that has the ARGB fans.
since we all know your computer runs 10% faster with ARGB, I guess I'll keep the one I already have. plus I like the RGB, so replacing the fans would cost about the same as I paid anyway, and it'd be a PITA to send this monster back.
other than that, it's versatile and roomy enough for just about any size AIO, Motherboard or video card. you can load it up with a ton of fans for crazy airflow, and it supports newer features like the reverse connect motherboards. also, it has most of the hardware you need for vertically mounting your GPU (you just the need the pcie cable) and so much of the case can be disassembled, it's really easy to work in.
about the only negatives I can add, the IO is at the bottom, so if you're a heathen like me that keeps your case on the floor (not on carpet), those will be a pain, and there's a lot of open space on either side of the 140mm fans, which concerns me about proper airflow...though I'm working on covering those now.
as mentioned above if you're looking for like a NAS case, to hold a lot of 3.5" drives, there are other better options, from companies like fractal.
Anyway to mount a DVD burner inside?
Now for a cheapo CPU and MOBO!

I'm holding on the cpu/mobo stuff for a bit. I'm hoping for some fire sales on those parts and maybe power supplies, while I assume gpu/SSD/dram prices keep a lot of folk from doing builds/upgrades right now.
