Hmm, not sure how many people still use old fashioned watches instead of the ndw digital watches that can track calories, measure heart rate, track sleeping patterns/miles walked, etc.

I competitively lift weights. I play ice hockey 2x a week. I don't need to track anything.

lift every day and work a physical job. I don't need to track. also, some jobs do not allow Bluetooth capable things such as phones, watches and earbuds so an old fashioned watch...is needed.
Pretty good prices in general on Orient watches on Jomashop. Personally, dont like the logo on this watch but the cursive logo on the 75th anniversary watches is nice. I might pick up the snoopy 75th anniversary if they get any more in stock.

Most of the replies are pretty unhelpful, but you can just have a watch "rotation". I'd recommend just having one analog and one digital. For example, one Casio Duro and one Samsung/Apple Watch. You can dress up the duro with steel bands while keeping the digital watch with fabric or silicone for ease of daily wear.
I would hate to use a SS band as my daily even on a watch like this since everyone's wrist size actually fluctuates slightly throughout the day, making it either too loose or tight. Now you just plan how you want to wear the two, for example you could only wear the digital when exercising like running, playing sports, or going to the gym, and wear the analog every day to work. Or you could wear the digital daily and only wear the analog to special events or when you get tired of it. I wouldn't recommend a collection since that would make this process way harder and a Duro (Quartz) is way easier to maintain without one of those automatic winders in case you stop using it for a while.

I got the very similar RA-AA0818L19B from jomashop in 2024. Great watch with a solid reliable movement (the movement on this one is newer but I think nearly identical). The only thing, which is kind of important, is that if you've ever had a higher quality watch with solid links in the bracelet, then this one will likely feel cheap and rattle. I knew this going in swapped the bracelet with this island watch company strap: https://longislandwatch.com/islan...s-brac-47/
