Well that's a bummer Frown This is actually a really decent price for these. My only problem is , based on our ergo lady at work I am size C. That's what I used to have in the office and now that I work from home I'd love to get one of these.. But the price has always been more than what I am willing to spend on a chair...

What's the weight limit on these chairs? I've gotten other branded chairs and the pumps barely last a year.

I like that it does not look bulky, but msrp is nuts. This chair is for businesses, they can write them off

I don't have experience with these chairs and have been considering getting some. However, I do not like this vendor at all. Last year when they had one on sale that was one of the non-black colors, I asked them for the color code of the chair so that I could shop for the matching head rest and their response was "it's not worth our time to answer your question. if you want the chair just buy it or you can not buy it."

Just so you know the attitude these people have... I imagine if I had a problem, I wouldn't expect anything better than what they already showed me.

I briefly considered this, then looked into the vendor more. They're not a Herman Miller authorized dealer, so the warranty is through the vendor only. They're based in Brooklyn, NY and have some pretty interesting stories on the forums out there, including "free" returns where they deduct shipping from the refund. It seemes like a hassle at best and sketchy at worst, so I'll pass.

If you are on Reddit, check the Herman Miller subreddit about this seller. When I last checked, about two years ago, there were a few threads a week about this seller sending a busted chair or something of that nature. I don't remember specifics but people were upset at paying even $500 for the chair from them.

I bought a the Logitech x Embody from HM and I like it. My sister bought from HM and got an Aeron. My dad got a custom built Aeron from an authorized seller and he loves his. Authorized Sellers/dealers, whatever, also carry the same HM warranty and can be a few hundred bucks cheaper than HM's own sale prices. It's worth looking around.

We have these at work, i would not pay $500 for these ever. Way over rated. Maybe for some people they make a huge difference, but it's not really amazing, let alone paying retail price
I paid around $1600 and since my work involves long hours of sitting, I have used many chairs over the years. After hearing excellent reviews about Herman Miller, I decided to invest in one. It has been one of the best investments I have ever made.

I love my Aeron chair. It's a preference, and it has saved my back a lot, having said that, working with Madison Seating, I don't recommend. Their warranty is a joke, doesn't cover things like... the seat literrally cracking, they don't use genuine parts and when I took mine apart I was surprised at how bad some of the hardware they used is.

I've replaced the pump in mine with an aftermarket kit made for it. It was not difficult if you are somewhat handy, but still somewhat of a nuisance. Original pump lasted about 10 years, replacement is currently on 5

Its a business deduction racket for $1k chairs, $10k smart broads, and these over hyped $150 chairs

Friend of mine had a workplace where they forced everyone to sit in these awful things.

He exclusively wore tan khakis, which wore thin in the backside every few months. And there was always tan-coloured "dust" under the chair. Guess what? That mesh was like a cheese grater to his pants.

He also hated the transition between "mesh" and plastic frame. He compared it to sitting off the edge of a hammock made with a 2x4 frame. You're always are going to feel that sharp edge cutting into you.

I sat in these chairs occasionally, depending on which client site I went to. And although they ARE sturdy and they DO have many adjustments, you can't get over the absolute lack of comfort they provide. I'd rather sit on a hardwood, unpadded dining room chair from the 70s than that thing. At least the dining room chair was designed with humans in mind, not mindless corpo-drones.

But I also will admit, a LOT of people love these chairs with a passion. So you might totally disagree with the above. Try them out first, if you can.
The mesh us terrible to sit in, ended up adding a cushion

This is tempting. I have a knock off of this chair I've had for 10+ years. Still my favorite

Yup, have a workpro 1200 and want to upgrade. Need to find a place where I can actually try these things
