If you like eating micro plastics, avoid plastic cutting boards!
So... where else would you get your daily dose of micro plastics?

Are these safe to use?

Considering it's basically compressed wood with glue and other chemical processes?

Serious question. I'm suspicious of everything now. Well, not just now, but more and more.

You mean DON'T avoid them Wink You're absolutely right, though. Scientists are saying we'd be wise to avoid ANYTHING plastic in the kitchen.

If safety is your only concern buy glass and enjoy sharpening your knives every other day

if you want something easy and dish washable, get a plastic board and deal with microbes in all the little knife indents until you replace it with a new one in a year, not to mention all the microplastics ingested in the meantime

wood is fine but you have to take care of it and ensure it stays oiled so it doesn't crack or warp in ways where juice gets trapped, becomes uneven, etc…. thorough hand washing required when contaminated. May have to sand it after a while. And sure, you may over time ingest some glue

easier to just get Applebees takeout. Wouldn't bother with any cutting board.

What kind of cutting boards do they use at Applebees tho?

Food from chain restaurants like Applebees will have widespread microplastics and chemical additives exposure.

i strongly suggest avoid those laminated bamboo cutting board.

find some solid wood one, or if you prefer the similar type, just get the plastic version.

And yes, i do cook every day as well as making my own cutting board...
