Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Switch is a modern remake of the GameCube classic, with updated graphics, HD presentation, and enough added touches to make it feel refreshed. The Switch version also adds extra bosses and warp pipes that reduce backtracking, while keeping the game's witty story, timing based combat, and charming cast intact. The main tradeoff is performance, since the remake runs at 30 frames per second instead of the original 60. At around $30, it lands as a strong value for a beloved RPG with some modernization, though the extra content is fairly limited.
The Switch remake includes new warp pipes that reduce backtracking during the adventure.
The Switch version modernizes the original with new engine work, coding, models, and textures.
The Switch release is portable and presented in HD compared with the older GameCube version.
The deal price is supported by multiple retailers offering around $29.99 with free shipping options.
The Switch remake runs at 30fps while the original GameCube version ran at 60fps.
The additional content is limited to one single badge, which may feel light for some players.
Remake changes can disappoint players who expected the combat mechanism to stay intact.
The game may feel only good rather than great, even when the $30 price is attractive.

This is a remake with graphical improvements and additional content. It's also available on a modern console.
Remember the Nintendo select for Wii games? Those were, I believe $20 for games that had been out for a while.
Granted this game has better graphics, they did add some new content though, so for $30 and this being one of my two favorite paper Mario games along with the N64 version, I got this myself for around $30 a few months ago and played through it again
