A pet crate is different from a carrier, and not all pet crates are created equal. I have a fabric one with a handle on top. That handle is strong enough to lift the 2 lb crate, but when I tried with my 20lb cat the handle tore right off.
This one literally doesn't mention the handle, but it talks about wheels and a shoulder for moving it, as well as airline standards. I'd hesitate to use this as a regular carrier with the handle until I had more info.

Is advertised as a crate, the handle would just be for moving it around to the location you want to place it, not to use it as a pet carrier. My dogs large collapsible metal wire crate with removable bottom tray has a handle on top, I wouldn't ever think of using that to carry my dog around in lol.
