Absolutely! And yet I've tried every other option out there and haven't found an adequate replacement for this creaky old dinosaur software.

January 2020, I paid $20. Paying double that is not a deal.

I did too. It's owned by private equity and they've slowly increased the subscription price. Have you ever heard of ensh*tification?

Not sure how or why, but the Sam's Club link at the top of this post (not the OP's original post, but this one) ends up at Staples.com instead.

FWIW, Staples price via that link is $45.59.

I took control of my finances by quitting half a dozen subscriptions that were increasingly bleeding me dry, including Quicken. Replaced most with free and open source software. Currently using and loving GNUCash as a Quicken replacement. Does everything I need it to, and there is great community support. There is more basic / simple open source personal finance software out there, but GNUCash is quite powerful, and was worth the learning curve for my own use case. I frickin' HATE subscriptions!

Yes this can be used to extend though I think there is a requirement that you have to be at least 6 months into your current sub. So you can't buy 3 of these and apply them all at once.
The price was $41.93 during the holidays last year so this is slightly more.

I think it's unreasonable to expect it to be the same price 6 years later. That being said, it was slightly cheaper last year so this isn't super slick. But it doesn't go on sale that often so if mine was expiring soon I'd buy this.

I have had two tickets open with their support since October, but nobody has even contacted me about it.
Use their forum, seems to get more attention especially if others are having the same issue.

If this was February 2020, then your post would have a point.

Sam's has a sale on Quicken Deluxe 1 year subscription $43.88

If you are not a Sam's member, Walmart has a similar deal for $44.99
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quicke...hbdg=L1200

Overall, not the best price, but it is at the moment, as my subscription expired last week.
$42 to $45 has been the range of sales in the last year or so, so this is a decent price.

Wish Newegg still carried it and had those sales a couple times a year.

So, I had quicken business and am working on going to deluxe. Someone mentioned gnucash and importing statements so I decided to try it. When comparing the imports to quickens constant need for reconnections, it doesn't feel all that different to me. I'm still not sold yet, but I'm running them in tandem to see if it can work for me in the long term. It is otherwise just about the same!
If all you do is download transactions and reconcile, there are more options. For investing and more advanced stuff, unfortunately Quicken doesn't really have any competition.

It's just a cc/bank transactions downloading tool for me and I can do any calculation and query using excel and pivot table. Can't believe it costs $50-70 per month even higher than my internet service or mobile plan. I'll not buy it any more if it's over $40 even I have used it for almost 20 years.
Yes. Per year. Sorry for typo but still expensive.

The Sam's Club link takes me to Staples. Sam's wants shipping, I'm not paying $60 to upgrade to Sam's Plus to save $8 shipping.
I need the Business & Personal subscription, and Staples doesn't have it in stock anywhere. Walmart has only the new subscriber version.
Crazy that it has to be a physical item sold through a retail store just to get the renewal code, to avoid paying double the price directly to quicken.

Stupid Microsoft killed Microsoft Money. Now Quicken is acting like a true monopoly. Microsoft, please bring Money back. I am ready to jump.

SD Mods changed my original post, and now Sam's link points to Staples, indeed. The good thing is that it is only available as in-store at Staples.
