Big flaw in these lamps is they are so top heavy. Battery should really be in the base.

There are reasons that these are discounted. Read Amazon reviews.

Got either this or similar pack (Gold colored). Pretty solid and does look nice lit up on the dining table. However, battery life is super lacking. Managing expectations, this is good for one 'dinner' and needs a full recharge. Not terrible, but also (to someone else's point) a battery on the base may have made it last at least 2x / 3x longer.

Got these last time on sale, not bad for the price. my only complaint is lighting is slightly inconsistent between the 2 (i have them both sitting on a mantel and one is a little brighter than the other.) again not bad for the price though.

might be important to some: these do not have light thrown from the top like a regular lam (some others led models do) - these are black on the top

This seems like such a novel idea. Of course put a battery on a lamp for if you lose power. Just imagine it has to be done right electrically so the battery stays reliable.

Not dollar store junky, but Walmart junky. That said, I love mine I got from a past deal. Very handy for a mobile lamp. We use them almost as a lantern walking through the house at night instead of smartphone flashlights. Which works well for my kiddo to use, too.

Can these be used while charging? I've ran into some off things over the years that you couldn't use while charging.
