Anyone have this fridge? How's the ice maker work and is the internal water dispenser annoying (I have young kids if that matters). My beko fridge just crapped out on me costing hundreds in groceries so I need a replacement asap

We have this fridge for a few years. Bought it as it was the only counter depth largish fridge without water/ice through the door and the revised LG compressor.

Ice maker - slow. But it makes ice. Even the fast option doesn't seem to make it fast. But darn it the thing just works. All in the freezer as an ice maker should be. We only use the cubed ice option so can't speak to crushed.

Water dispenser - left side of the fridge just inside the door. Water is cool but not cold. If you fill a water bottle then go behind and get a glass the water is cool but not cold. Little kids would have trouble lining up the cup just right as there isn't anywhere to set a cup like through the door. But it.works fine.
Fridge could be colder. We monitored the fridge temps. It seems to take a good bit to cool down and recover when the door is opened. Our older whirlpool was much faster at temp recovery.

Noise - it makes the weirdest fridge noises ever. Pops, clicks etc. It is nearly silent most of the time but it does make weird sounds when the room is quiet. Not obtrusive but sometimes it makes us wonder if something is wrong.
Can't speak to longevity but for our needs it just works. We wanted a fridge counter depth with no through door nonsense and an ice maker in the freezer where it belongs with reasonable size. This one works.

Thank you very much for the detailed review! Wasn't aware of the revised compressor so that's reassuring it will last a while. Good to hear the ice maker works as well as I use a lot of ice. The last three new fridges I've owned, the ice maker which have been in the door has broken within a year or two. Looks my local HD has it on display too so I'll be checking it out tomorrow

Is this the only one with a revised compressor?
