Is there a use case to be a smart monitor outside of being able to stream with the computer removed?

There are many uses, for example you can get interrupted with notifications that your Samsung washer just finished a cycle. I don't use any of the smart features but I like that it does PD and it's a usb hub so I'ts like a docking station for my laptop (limited to usb 3 speeds, so no 1gbps ethernet, unless that has been fixed in this version, i have an older one)

Thank you for the coupon. I had the 2022-2023 model and the screen started getting defect lines around the bottom after 3 years of use. I still want to buy it again though because it had great sound and had so much multi-functional use.
