I have a lot of gimmick tools, this is probably one of the worst. Probably the best use case is for wing nuts that are small enough to fit inside and are stuck. Of course the real answer for those is a cutoff wheel....

You could save almost $4 by not buying this gator grip knock off!

These things have their purpose, but it's not for everyday use, in my opinion.

They're sometimes kinda-sorta-okay for getting off a rounded bolt.

And it might be okay to keep in the car for emergency use (instead of having a whole socket set).

This works best on those eyelet screws. Things like this have failed me more than saved me.

Agreed on the eyelet screws. The only time this worked perfectly was when I put up a sun shade sail in the backyard.

These things are basically useless. They seem like a good idea but don't actually work in real life, based on my own experience.

Getting one of these, for the time when my cheapo wrenches can't round off a bolt.

These are for fasteners other than hex nuts or bolts, like hooks. You can use one of these to screw a hook in the wall.

These are good for here and there (especially messed up bolt heads), and definitely not an alternative for getting a socket set. It's quite annoying to use sometimes as you have to apply a fair amount of pressure to keep it on the nut.

Nice. I used one of these to remove a boot from my car.

I meant an immobilization boot on the wheel.

Only $4 — but be aware this might be a one-time use tool. There are many YouTube reviews on this including the one I linked below.
