If you bought this from Amazon within the last 30 days, you can get an additional $116 - $125 knocked off the price after delivery by going through the return process. You basically need to go all the way through the return process. You can list that it's still new in box and the reason for the return is found better price. There's an option to say where the better price is, but just leave it blank. Once you get to the screen where it asks how you'd like the return completed (drop off at UPS store, Kohls, or picked up for $6.99), you'll choose any of these options and you should get a pop up box saying that if you opt to keep the item, they will refund your account $116 and change. FYI.
They likely would just prefer to knock the price down a little bit and get you to keep the item than pay for shipping for a 100 lb item.

Great little planer. Snipe is as usual a bitch but unless you plan for it with extra stock or glue sacrificial boards on the sides, nothing will eliminate snipe.


I just used it yesterday to plane a few dozen feet of walnut for a project.

Getting a helical head replacement for this was an amazing upgrade. I opted out of Shellix and bought one on findbuytool for $325. It works great. I just didn't see the need to spend an extra $200. It's much much less noisy and the surface is so much nicer

It may depend where you are located. I was checking this item all morning and it was never in stock. Still says unavailable. EDIT Just changed location and it came back in stock.

I'm getting the 'return shipping will be deducted from refund' message when going through the process. Any idea to get it to trigger the price knock down instead?

I've seen the inventory come & go. Was available for me this morning (last day 10% prime card bonus, not sure about the $522 price). On the product page (app) I didn't see mention of the 10% prime bonus, but this product is definitely listed on the prime bonus page.
