I bought the gold variation in 2024. This thing is great! Many brightness levels and comes with a second cap that is a very strong magnet.

Pretty much always a miss, in my experience. But for any of the few people on SD that haven't yet used their new customer discount on aliexpress, sure. You CAN occasionally get them cheaper (than this $16.99), especially if you opt for the SST40 emitter instead of the higher CRI nichia, but it's rare and often only by using a limited one-time new customer discount, like the one from Aliexpress. I bought a red (post valentines) SST40 WK03 for ~$13 last year. Not quite as nice as the Nichia 519a, but still pretty good compared to my older Cree XM-L and similar lights.

Though well worth it to buy both IMO. I have three WK03 and a couple other similar lights from Wurkkos and Sofirn, after I replaced (most of) my older 18650 lights in the last few years. I bought a couple more as gifts. Thinking of buying yet another golden WK03 just for the looks.. Big Grin

Bought one of these years ago and it's still my favorite light. The magnetic cap constantly proves itself useful, especially in conjunction with the small form factor. I've stuck this inside my PC case while swapping out hardware, on my basement I-beams while rennovating, etc. Perfect compromise between power, size, and heat. Boomers might be confused by the controls if you let one borrow it though.
