2 Burgers, no fries, came out to $9.17
Because this fed 2 people, each person was on the hook for $4.58(5) because 9.17/2=4.585.
This did not include fries or a drink. The next closest deal I can find is the McDonald's 1/4 pounder at 40% off. That is 1 burger for $4.57
Virtually the same price, but one deal nets you 2 burgers, while the other nets you 1 burger.
And yes, you're right. Not enough In-n-Out comments. They are the king of burger joints and keep prices fair.
The rest of the fast food gang is pretty much low tier........I'd rather go to highly rated/fairly priced food trucks in my area for lunch.
...Honestly though, I'd rather pick up some quality grass fed ground beef from Trader Joes or Costco (where I freeze most of it) and roll my own..... WAAAAY tastier and you know EXACTLY that the tomatoes, onions, butter lettuce I put on there are organic, with top shelf bread to boot! Aside of time invested in getting the ingredients which are combo'd with other grocery purchases, making a burger at home is faster as you're not using the car to commute. But I do understand if you're not close to home for lunch. Then....food trucks are your best best!
Also, to all the folks here that love Five Guys, please explain to me why they have to do BOGO offers at all. In and Out doesn't need gimmicks to get folks to come in. If they just made their prices more reasonable I'd definitely go there more often.

Where are the whip marks where the jockey used to hit the horse?...
Even the most expensive burger on the menu is $15...$7.50 each for 2x Bacon Cheeseburgers (each w/ double patty) is NOT at all bad these days. They're also crazy generous w/ Fries (like "let's just fill a paper bag to the brim" generous)f
Even with their inflated prices, B1G1 of their most expensive burger + large fries + tax + tip is just under $30
A more realistic (calorie-wise) order of 2x Burgers (which you can absolutely load up with toppings) + regular fries + tax + tip comes out to just under $26, or $13 a person.
Not "cheap", but not "way overpriced" either

So you are saying there is a Amex deal for $10 of something for Five? I searched the nets and saw a reference to this used to be for Smashed but changed to Five.
EDIT: I think the Amex deal is only for Gold Memeber cards - right??
