No, it's YOUR math that's the problem... Do you not comprehend what "Buy One Get One Free" means? $11 divided by two.
1 x Little Cheeseburger(1 x $8.45)=$8.45
1 x Little Cheeseburger(1 x $8.45)=$8.45
SUBTOTAL$16.90 REDEEMED: FGAFTERPARTY / Guests who use this coupon will receive a free burger when they buy a burger.($8.45)TAX$0.72
TOTAL
$9.17
2 Burgers, no fries, came out to $9.17
Because this fed 2 people, each person was on the hook for $4.58(5) because 9.17/2=4.585.
This did not include fries or a drink. The next closest deal I can find is the McDonald's 1/4 pounder at 40% off. That is 1 burger for $4.57
Virtually the same price, but one deal nets you 2 burgers, while the other nets you 1 burger.

As long as I don't have to witness the Five Guys CEO awkwardly biting into one of his burgers, I'm in!

I'm just here for the comments ... and I have not been disappointed ... shocked someone hasn't brought up In N Out yet ... But I agree with many, this is a good value, for a great burger.
The comments on the thread have indeed been gold. Big Grin....... Looks like 5Guys are suffering in sales to see a promo like this. The economy ain't doing well guys! You start seeing it in fast food quarterly earnings.

And yes, you're right. Not enough In-n-Out comments. They are the king of burger joints and keep prices fair.

The rest of the fast food gang is pretty much low tier........I'd rather go to highly rated/fairly priced food trucks in my area for lunch.

...Honestly though, I'd rather pick up some quality grass fed ground beef from Trader Joes or Costco (where I freeze most of it) and roll my own..... WAAAAY tastier and you know EXACTLY that the tomatoes, onions, butter lettuce I put on there are organic, with top shelf bread to boot! Aside of time invested in getting the ingredients which are combo'd with other grocery purchases, making a burger at home is faster as you're not using the car to commute. But I do understand if you're not close to home for lunch. Then....food trucks are your best best!

Because everyone orders in the app now and picks it up. No need for a line.
Perhaps, but if I'm paying $10 to $15 for a burger I will only pick places where I can dine in and the food is brought to my table. Plus I will know the food is hot and fresh. Five Guys loves pick up orders because it drastically lowers their overhead. Kudos to you for helping to lower their labor costs and increase their profit margins even more.
Also, to all the folks here that love Five Guys, please explain to me why they have to do BOGO offers at all. In and Out doesn't need gimmicks to get folks to come in. If they just made their prices more reasonable I'd definitely go there more often.

When I can get a 6oz sirloin, 2 sides, rolls, AND a soda at Texas Roadhouse for around the same price as 5 guys' little cheeseburger, little fries, and small drink, that means they're EXPENSIVE for what they are. The only difference is I don't have to tip at 5 guys. I will admit, their burger IS highly rated by the burger snobs (ACTUAL professionals, not connoisseurs), but they have had the same burger for at least 15+ years (meaning, their recipe hasn't changed) but they keep inflating their price.

Two little burgers and a fry came to $15 meal for two, their food is damn good but I won't eat there without a deal like this, just too expensive.

Just ordered pickup for lunch. Must've been close to 10 years since last time I've had it. Burgers were good, but not great. Sat in aluminum wrap for about 10 - 15 min due to roundtrip drive and made the bread a little soggy. Fries were all limp and soggy from frying oil. Don't think I'll be back for awhile. In-N-Out is better value with their standard prices.

I agree, not overpriced at all relative to everything else these days.
Even the most expensive burger on the menu is $15...$7.50 each for 2x Bacon Cheeseburgers (each w/ double patty) is NOT at all bad these days. They're also crazy generous w/ Fries (like "let's just fill a paper bag to the brim" generous)f

Even with their inflated prices, B1G1 of their most expensive burger + large fries + tax + tip is just under $30
A more realistic (calorie-wise) order of 2x Burgers (which you can absolutely load up with toppings) + regular fries + tax + tip comes out to just under $26, or $13 a person.
Not "cheap", but not "way overpriced" either Smilie
Have you never been to In-N-Out? Five Guys seems way overpriced compared to them.

That's because In-N-Out burgers are TINY, more bread than meat. Half the food and not great quality at all, especially the dry cardboard-like frozen fries.

Okay you got me - can you elaborate? I searched for Amex and Five and got nothing. Went to my card and looked for Five and nothing.
So you are saying there is a Amex deal for $10 of something for Five? I searched the nets and saw a reference to this used to be for Smashed but changed to Five.
EDIT: I think the Amex deal is only for Gold Memeber cards - right??
I have a Delta Amex gold card and a regular AMEX platinum card and it's not on either of mine
