One of the first comic books that I ever bought. I remember buying issue 1 off of the comic spinner at my local 7-11. My very first comic was Daredevil #208!

Seems tremendously overpriced, IMO, unless the Secret Wars is your favorite comic ever, for some reason. The whole thing was written by Jim Shooter, who was Marvel's editor-in-chief at the time and not the writer on any of the mainline comics, and his dialogue can get pretty cringe-worthy at times (e.g. the Wasp saying something like, "That's, like, totally bodacious!"). The art is fine, although I don't think Mike Zeck or Bob Layton rise to the level of a Kirby, Ditko, Byrne, Lee, or any of the other artists for which I'd want to pay for an oversized gallery edition.

The TBP edition of the comic is half the cost of this hardback one, even on sale:
