Unless I'm missing something, $3 a roll is what the regular price 6pack is. https://a.co/d/08uYuzzt so fine but not great

(sorry. Terminal case of michaelscottittis.)

Seriously though, I'm confused by that one pic. It shows the different adhesion levels for the colored tapes, along with a # of days. What exactly does the # days have to do with anything??

Purple - gentle.. 60-days
Blue - medium (original). 14-days
Blue - medium (sharp lines). 21-days
Green - very strong. 5-days

The number of days after putting it down that it will still cleanly and easily come back up.

That's the number of days you can peel it off without leaving residue, however that is at room temp of around 70F. If you put a piece of this tape on the outside of a window in the desert where it is 120F it will start to leave residue in about 1 day instead of 14 days so temp plays a huge difference in this figure, and so does pressure. If you wrap this tape tightly around a pipe and wrap about 3 more wraps where the bottom wrap is experiencing the most squeezing pressure, it will not peel cleanly after 1-2 days either even at 70F. I use this tape to re-tip billiard cue sticks and tightly wrap the ferrule to protect the side from excess glue and this tape will start to leave residue if I leave it on for more than 1 day, but if I apply the tape without pulling it tight I can leave it for a week with no residue. Use these figures to help better estimate if it will work cleanly for your usage case.

Just a reminder that tape unofficially expires the longer it is not used - the adhesives start deteroriating over time...... my personal exp with packing clear tape - 5yrs the stuff stopped sticking to cardboard boxes lol

Working on year 4 for blue tape and its a smidge less sticky...

Have and have used this...personally I'm happy to pay more for the 1.5" wide tape when doing walls and trim. It's too easy to wind up getting paint past the edge.

I've found this is reasonably good at edge sealing, but you need to go over it carefully. As soon as the last coat of paint is tacky, I remove it all. Leaving it too long can wind up pulling paint off the wall if you don't have perfect adhesion.
