Remember. this is not actual duct tape. It is general purpose, let's hillbilly fix something on the fly type tape. Actual duct tape had to meet local codes and cannot be cloth backed. Real duct tape is foil backed, though mastic, mastic embedded type tape and adhesives can be used depending on your local building codes. That being said, I'm not bashing the deal. This is handy to have around for quick temporary repairs.

Is there a duct tape I can use inside of the ducting secure insulation that's falling back?

You can "Ackchyually" this all you want, but the fact of the matter is that this is duct tape. You don't use duct tape to seal ducts, you use it as a general purpose moderate strength fabric-backed tape. You use foil tape or HVAC tape to seal ducts. You can shout from the hilltops all day long about how this doesn't make sense, and it should be this or that--but it doesn't matter. Duct tape is GP tape, foil tape or HVAC tape seals ducts. Deal with it
